I would have not thought of this, til one day the fact that I had nowhere to visit or go to meditate my mother's memory really got to me. I know that is a selfish idea, but after time I felt a need to have a place to go. I let it go and was fine with her wishes to go back... But then my son, almost 10, came to me and was very upset about the same thing. I never discussed the fact that I felt the same way, but it was very hard to see go through this. He asked me if there was a way to have her near even when she was gone. I told him everything a mother would tel her son to ease the pain and to try to understand, even though it is so hard to see them go through this. I told him I did keep some ashes, and he was instantly excited to know this and he asked if there was a way that he could have them. I then started looking for jewelry because someone told me of it. I found you. Thank you for such a great idea, some may think it was morbid, but I have found peace for my child, and me, thank you!

I would like to find a memorial brooch or locket for my mother. Last week she lost her 22 y/o mare, Destiny. I saved some hair from her tail and mane to make into jewelry. Most of what I have found is bracelets and necklaces made from the braided hair. I would like to find something like a hair ring or brooch.

I lost my 'Sugar' after loving her for more than 14 years and I was devastated when she passed away. I had no idea of any type of memorial or cremation services available. My boyfriend took my sweet lifeless friend to the vet told me he'd done something special for me. In a few days I was given a beautiful wooden box engraved extraordinarily. It was her ashes. I was so grateful and amazed at such a loving and thoughtful gesture made by him. I was speech-less to say the least. I have it today, five years later, on my dresser and still think of all the wonderful memories I have with my adored feline 'Sugar' She will always be remembered.
Thank you for furthering the options of honoring our beloved pets!

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust" is an instruction, not just an idea. Allow the dead to return from where they came. I believe this trend was created by people in the business trying to comme up with ideas for making money as burials became less common and creamations weren't bringing in the dough.

My husband inherited from his grandmother a tiny round sterling silver keepsake of some kind.I suspect it contains a small amount of cremations or sacred soil. The orb is shaped like a round bottle with a tiny silver bottle neck and rounded silver cork. the cork does not come out. It has two engravings of asian women,I believe. This tiny bottle is about 3/4 inch in diameter and hangs from an attached chain. This 21/2 inch chain is permanently attached to both sides of the bottle. It reminds me off a watch bob.I can tell it contains something like sand because you can here it when you shake it, close to your ear. What do you think it is and how old might it be. I would very much like your opinion. Thanks, Debbie

My 11 year old daughter has lost her grandfather and wants to keep her grandfather close to her. She gave me this website to look at some inexpensive pendants for her to keep some of his ashes in. Could you please help me? I have some ashes for my daughter but I want something more permanent for her to have besides a glass jar the size of a medicine bottle. I am looking to spend around 20 dollars. I am a single mom and working and trying to go back to school myself. Please help.

Wow.. I have never went onto a site like this one.. I have recently been mulling over the idea of being creamated. Mainly because it is cheaper. I dont want to be a burden on my family and friends..

I do not believe in funerals. I believe when someone passes, their body is just an outworn or damaged vessel. A mere shell that once held a being. Once that vessel "Stops working" so to speak, the being is no longer there. They have gone to their own personal paradise.

I think that jewelry such as this, is amazing. And an amazing way to pay tribute to someone. It is a beautiful way of telling the ones you loved the most, that you are always there with them. I think it will bring a sense of closure. A sense of peace.

I absolutely recommend this for those who are considering Creamation.

it's amazing what creativity can do. holding your loved ones remains close to you every single day. cremation has become easy the grieving process by keeping apart of them with us using jewelry.

lost my creamsicle colored tabby about one month ago.. I'm heartbroken. He was 12 years old and a sweet and gentle boy. The other three kittys in our household. Every kitty loved him, he was so gentle. He stopped eating and drinking anything and it took me a couple of weeks to convince him something was wrong and since he was home, I was hoing he would bring him. Big Boy's appointment was at 9:15 AM on a Wednesday. The last time my husband saw him was 7:15 AM that morning by the morning newspaper tube (I was at work). It's been almost a month and we can't find him. I've looked everywhere. I am still going to create a memorial in our backyard alongside our other passed-on kittys. I have nothing but his cathair left in his hairbrush. I am going to bury a swatch of his hair under his memorial since it's all I have left. But I also want to find a beautiful austrian crystal vessel necklace to put some of his hair in as a memorial to my beautiful boy. I'm having trouble finding exactly that. I want something from him close to me forever. Does anyone know of a site I can find an austrian crystal vessel necklace (not for ashes, but hair)? Please respond if you can tell me where to look. I'm looking for beautiful austrian crystal, but I'll take swarovski or no-name crystal. I would like to tell anyone who has lost a very good animal friend lately to stay strong and remember the great memories. I miss him so much. He was like our puppy-dog!!
